Kacy McKinney is a queer self-taught visual artist and scholar/educator with a Ph.D. in human geography. She creates drawings, paintings, illustrations, comics, textiles, and garments. An avid birder, ornithological art and landscapes are important elements in her drawings and textiles. She is currently Artist-Scholar in Residence at the Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative at Portland State University.
