"Aside from my personal struggles there is so much to be sad about in our country and the world right now. The environment, the murders by ICE, the cruelties of our governments and then it seems like so many of my students are facing tragedy or deaths right now and it is hard not to feel their pain as well. I use art as my therapy or way of communicating my thoughts and feelings, so my art has been reflecting my struggle with Grief, the sadness, being reduced to my inner core, the confusion in my brain, my anger and resistance to it all. My heart hurts but my heart is also still working to be open to life and love."
