"This work was made while I was navigating my mother’s death earlier in 2023, a visual mapping of the raw, shifting layers of grief that felt so fundamentally different from any loss I had experienced before.
In some of the photographic etchings in these works, I also incorporated fragments of poetry written by S. Mallarmé after the loss of his child, layering literary grief with my own visual language."
