"Grief is a literal dismemberment: that which was once coherent and familiar now shattered on the concrete. Collage is a dispatch to reassemble; an urgent reconstruction project to assign meaning to the present. I present these four collages as totems to absence, and the care we take to seek, sort and arrange our disparate parts."
