What comes after the burn? When something monumental has fallen
, taken by the flames?

After the burn explores regeneration. Depicting a scene after a wildfire, a giant burned tree’s body is imagined as a cliffface, a landscape for rebirth with mushrooms, lichen, and fireweed growing in the ashes. It draws attention to scale and speed—to sudden massive endings and the small, slow, persistent actions of life that come after.

It’s about manyness, individuals interconnected into patterns and waves. Comprising 34 unframed works on paper, the installation is both a mural-like composite and a series of distinct pieces with unique stories. Each individual piece has two lives—its first as part of a larger whole seen during the show, and its second as a discrete work of art viewed independently as pieces find homes.
