This piece explores the many facets of the Queen cards within Tarot. In my practice, I understand the Queens not as external figures, but as reflections of the self—distinct aspects of an inner landscape.
Using the cyanotype process, I created a self-portrait in repetition. At the center, the figure is toned, softening the blue into greys and browns, grounding her in something more earthly and embodied. In each corner, that same figure appears again, altered through elemental additions shifting the image and echoing a different Queenly aspect. In acknowledging and embracing these Queens we participate in our own unfolding.
