Vitreousynthesis
borosilicate glass wall hanging
This piece explores the life cycles of interdependent organisms. It is inspired by the unseen and lesser understood parts of natural systems. They reveal deep meaning to those who choose to examine them. This was made by pulling transparent pink and purple glass into thin cane, then networking various pieces that were then destroyed and woven back together, adorned with blown forms and dots inspired by slime mold sporangia.
approx. 13" x 14.5" x 4.5"
hangs easily on a nail, nice and lightweight!
