Stained glass begins with destruction. Glass sheets are broken apart into tiny bits, then reconfigured into beauty; a tedious process that requires communication with the material, and focus on detail. Cutting the glass is one part of making stained glass, and each subsequent step of the craft has a different energy and pace. Because of this variety, and the challenge of working with the limitations of the material, the art of stained glass wormed its way into my heart, and became my preferred medium. Experiencing tarot through my art is allowing me time to meditate with the individual cards as I follow each piece through creation.
