To bring a pet into our family, knowing they will likely die in our arms someday, we nonetheless nurture them despite our foreknowledge of the lifelong grief they will bring us.
Dedicated to Jojo, who we lost during the summer 2023. I painted this immediately after to cope with the grief of losing my kitty cat friend of 10 years.
