"This a painting of a Faqqua iris, the national flower of Palestine, rendered in ink made from a dissolved AR-15. Over the past three years, I made a series of these irises in gunmetal ink as a way to process the grief of witnessing the Gaza genocide, as well as an expression of international solidarity. The paintings have been donated to fundraisers for Palestine and gifted to activists, including Black Panther Ericka Huggins. I will be donating any proceeds to several Gazan fundraisers."
