“Visions for a green earth” is a ceramics vessel from the Shelter series. This work explores the concept of home, with cavernous spaces that invite the viewer to contemplate the lines between safety and danger, sanctuary and loss. In this time of climate change brought on by years of extraction and exploitation, the Earth we depend upon for life is shifting, potentially becoming inhospitable to our species. What was once a pristine oasis, leaves us now with the grief of knowing what we may have already lost.
