"To openly acknowledge that we are grieving and have experiences in death is seen as an unacceptable topic of conversation to many.  I believe it’s a reality that causes us to go through inexplicable alterations to the core of who we are. Humans are not outside of Mother Nature, we can not escape a natural experience.
Made out of 70-80 year old crochet thread in the method of filet crochet, “as the sun shines” incites an openness to this uncomfortableness many feel when talking about dying and grieving. The border is done specifically to match the flow of each word to allow for a more organic reading. We need not grieve or die alone."
