"Vacate is part of a series, titled Shadows, that I created as a way to honor & process the loss of my dear friend Steve. After Steve took his own life, I painted his "ghost" over & over, sometimes trying to capture the sense of beauty & calm I hope he found, & sometimes documenting the haunting thoughts of his last moments."
