Existence after losing my father was the most emotionally depleted and bone-tired period of my life. Grieving him does not end, but the loss inspired me to move back to my beloved, adopted home of Seattle. This piece depicts the exhaustion that comes from grief and all the subsequent required processes that follow a death — along with finally having the opportunity to begin to recuperate in the calming environs of Volunteer Park.
