For me, grief is endless. The grief of a failing body, an intimacy borrowed and rarely returned, the obedience of swallowing what I am given and calling it maintenance. \u003ci\u003eThere is no recovery, only endurance \u003c\/i\u003eis an endurance-based installation, based on my experience with chronic pain and the ongoing search for a diagnosis. Each print is a separate still from my MRIs, held up with miniature pins. The installation of this work depends on how long my nerves can last before they give out and I drop a print, a pin, or the five-pound hammer. This project is a testament to my illness and how I am learning to accept my failing body. It is an extension of my own chronic pain and ability to endure.
