My work explores the concept of home and our relationship to the structures that house us. In all of my tiny houses, I imagine the kinds of lovely people who might live inside and am filled with cozy feelings and respect for my own home.
My ceramic houses are made of porcelain or stoneware clay, using nontoxic underglazes and mason stains. Each house is created by hand, and never from a mold. I make all of my own window and door stamps, giving each house its own unique personality.
